The MIETHKE paediGAV® is a gravitational valve which was specifically developed for the treatment of pediatric hydrocephalus. The opening pressure dependent on the body position of the child.
The choice of the correct shunt system with opening pressure adjustment is important in treating hydrocephalus in children, and has a major influence on their subsequent development.
